Fremo Medical Clinic was registered in the month of November 2009. It started its operations during the month of December 2009. The Services offered include:

To provide proper medical care to all people of kawangware/satellite and its environment. To give a reasonable and affordable Medicare to the less advantaged people more especially the people of Kawangware.
To make Fremo Medical Centerbecome a full fledged Medical Hospital with well equipped Modern equipments and become a training medical school for medical students before 2030
Fremo Medical center is located in Dagoretti, Nairobi City, Kenya East Africa. It is offering medical services for both the people of Riruta and Kawangware. It is located on the road side of Naivasha Road on the right side when you are driving from Nairobi City.The population of kawangware is approximated to be 86,824 while that of Riruta satellite is 65,958. The health sector is not so much developed or equipped. The major health centers are either over charging the patients or are not well equipped. This makes the local residents to seek medical care some places a far mostly Hospitalor Mbagathi District Hospital.
These two are government owned health facilities and because of the expenses and congestation still the residents of Kawangwareand satellite find it difficult to access the facilities offered by these two government owned institutions. First, Kenyatta is a referral serving East, Central andPart of South Africa, and therefore less serious cases are ignored or notallowed. Mbagathi is a District Hospital but in mostcases its ill equipment with machines and medicines. Fremo was started by Moffat Osoro and his brother Fred Sagero with the aim of trying to make the residents get full medical care. In achieving these we started offering the following services.

Maternity Services for 2,800 (35 Dollars)
24 hr services care
Well stocked drugs for Major diseases
Well Qualified and Skilled Personnel i.e. Trained Clinical
Officer, Well Trained Nurse and Lab Technician.
A well equipped lab with the reagents for common ailments in
the area. We are able to test Malaria, Typhoid, Rheumatoid factor, Urinalysis,
and others that are prevalent in the area.
So far the facility has been in operation for only five
months and its coming up though there are many challenges that we experiencing.
The major challenges are.
Lack of modern and proper equipment for the lab.
Lack of a well equipped maternity for Caesarian
Lack of a well developed water supply system
More wards for admission.
Lack of X-rays and Scanning machines.
The major source of funding has been from personal savings, friends and well wishers. Though the Medical center is privately owned, the aimof making profit has been out of vision because in most cases the center being located in a sprawling slum most patients are unable to pay for the services rendered. The clinic needs money to pay for medicine, rent, and pay for staffand lab reagents. Sometimes it becomes hard to trace the defaulters and evenwhen we do so we are unable to get the cash because there are so poor. For somewe retain their securities so that they pay little by little till the final settlement.

We get our drugs from two major suppliers within kawangware.
These are, Newline Pharmaceuticals and Maresi Pharmacists. In most cases
because of the finance we have made arrangements and agreement that we pay for
the drugs after every two weeks from the date of supply. This is because of
lack of enough funding and since the drugs are very expensive.
The facility at the moment consists of the following

4. Labour ward with one delivery bed and one delivery kit
